Volunteers from more than 3,600 US Communities raise millions of dollars for Cancer Research, Treatment and support for patients and caregivers through the Relay for Life program. Volunteers are sponsored and gather around 5:00 PM in the evening and walk, in the form of relay teams throughout the night until the next morning. They gather to remember those lost to cancer and recognize and celebrate the Survivors. In this one evening in Cherry Hill, participants from Southern new Jersey raised in excess of $85,000. In the 17 years of fund raising, the American Cancer Society has raised in Excess of $1 Billion. |

Mary Santa Maria, CEO, Hawk Chemical Company, Inc. does volunteer work in her community and serves as a Teacher's Assistant at the Berlin Community School, Berlin, NJ. She recently attended an event for the Second grade class that had been studying the Philadelphia Flyers Hockey Team. Victoria Santa Maria was able to facilitate having Chris Therien, #6, the 6-5, 230 pound, Defenseman visit with the children, answer their questions, take photos and sign autographs. |
